Approach

Neurdiversity

Neurodiversity & You
Understanding your neurodiversity...
Whether you have a long-held diagnosis, are newly exploring your neurotype, or simply feel like the world wasn’t built for your brain, this space is for you. I work with neurodivergent children, teens, and adults in a neuroaffirming way honouring your sensory experience, your communication style, and the unique way you move through the world.
For parents and caregivers: I also offer psychoeducation and support to help you understand, advocate for, and nurture your child whether navigating school, social spaces, or just daily life.

First Session

How We Begin
The First Sessions...

When a young person is referred, I usually invite parents to join the first session if comfortable. This helps me understand the full picture, the referral concern, developmental history, and family context with care and clarity. After that, therapy becomes a safe, private space for the young person. Their privacy and confidentiality are honoured to support honest, trusting engagement.
I’ll share feedback with parents only when appropriate or clinically indicated, always with the young person’s awareness and, where possible, consent.

The first one or two sessions are about you like what brought you here, your story, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll explore your life history gently and understand how it shapes your present.
From there, we’ll agree on a plan like how many sessions might be helpful, and which approach fits your needs, personality, and worldview best.

Assessment & Diagnostic Support
Services in the future...
Future Services

I am trained in the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised) which are gold-standard tools used in autism assessments.
While I’m not currently offering formal diagnostic assessments, this training deeply informs my clinical work. It helps me recognise neurodivergent patterns, support accurate understanding, and walk alongside families with greater clarity.
